How is whitening done?
After an examination and cleaning, the gums are protected and a whitening gel is applied to the teeth for a set time in the clinic. The session can be repeated or followed with home trays depending on the shade you want.
Who is it for?
It suits staining from coffee, tea, smoking and age. It does not change the colour of fillings or crowns, so we review that with you first.
After whitening
- Temporary sensitivity may occur and fades within days.
- Avoid staining drinks for the first 48 hours.
- Regular check-ups and scaling keep the result longer.
